Julebryg Arrives at Humber Street Gallery

Every winter, Denmark goes a little bit wild for beer. Not just any beer, but Julebryg, a dark, malty Christmas brew that signals the start of the festive season. It’s such a big deal that in Denmark, the first Friday of November is known as J-Day, when the beer is released across the country to cheering crowds and fake snow drifting through the streets. It’s all a bit over the top, but in the best possible way.

This Christmas, we’re bringing that tradition to Hull and we’ll be stocking Tuborg Julebryg, the original Danish Christmas beer in our café bar. It’s rich and slightly sweet, with a hint of liquorice and caramel, brewed to be enjoyed in good company. It’s festive without being fussy, nostalgic without being old-fashioned.

We love things that come with a story, and this one’s been bubbling away in Danish brewing culture since the 1980s. When you sip a Julebryg in our café bar this Christmas, you’re joining a tradition that’s all about celebrating small pleasures, embracing the darker nights, slowing down and getting cosy.
