Critical Dialogues are an opportunity for artists to have a 1:1 conversation with a range of national and international guest contributors. These bookable conversations offer the chance to connect, gain advice or sound out ideas from fellow artists or curators.

To get the most out of a Critical Dialogue conversation, we encourage you to think about what you’d like to discuss in advance. Whether that’s introducing your work by talking through a specific project, seeking feedback on a new idea, or getting advice on a challenge you’re facing; the conversation should be led by you.

Critical Dialogues: Kristian Day

Kristian Day is a curator and producer, born and raised in Hull before moving to London where he worked with numerous galleries and organisations. For the past decade he has worked independently with galleries, studios, institutions and project spaces across the UK, developing exhibitions and programmes that support artists and strengthen regional networks. He is currently Director, Curator, and Programmer of Haarlem Gallery and Studios in Wirksworth, Derbyshire.

A Critical Dialogues conversation with Kristian will last 1 hour and will take place via Zoom at a time suitable for both parties.
