Each edition of Cultural Conversations is built around a thought-provoking theme, with inspiring speakers, hands-on activities, performances, and music. No two events are the same – each one has its own unique energy. Whether you’re a painter, ceramicist, designer, photographer, marketeer or just someone with a creative spark, you’ll find your people here.

It’s free, it’s open to everyone, and it’s where ideas turn into action.
Come for the stories. Stay for the energy. Be part of the conversation.

The Art of Gathering

From large scale festivals to intimate performances, reading groups and shared experiences, this conversation will explore the social and artistic power of gatherings and what happens when people make space for connection. Hosted by Humber Street Gallery’s CEO & Artistic Director, Dave McLeavy, the evening brings together Paul Smith, Artistic Director at Middle Child Theatre Company, Phil Hargreaves, Festival Director at Freedom Festival and Ellie Crosby, founder of the Silent Book Club. Expect thoughtful conversation, different perspectives and plenty of opportunities to stay curious, meet new people and join in.

Arrive early to catch up with friends and colleagues or stick around after to keep the conversation going.
